A joint affidavit has been filed today in respect of the settlement arrived at between the parties. The parties have agreed that the appellant shall pay a sum of Rs.2 lacs to the respondent. In para-4 of the of the affidavit, the period of payment has not been stated and it has been left to the Court to decide.
In view of above, it is directed that the appellant shall pay a sum of Rs.1 lac within ten days from today and the balance amount shall be paid within two months from today.
On compliance of the terms and conditions of the settlement and the direction above, the Court will pass the final order.
