This writ petition has been filed to forbear the respondents from in any manner interfering or disturbing with the day to day affairs of the petitioner society in playing indoor games not involving any element of gambling at the premises bearing No.3/327/18, Aiswarya Nagar, Maanur, Maanur (PO), Muthalipalayam (Panchayat), Tiruppur- 641 606.
2. It is stated by the petitioner that the petitioner club is having members from various walks of life, mostly from agricultural community. He also submits that the primary object of the club is to promote social well being of the society, and that the entertainment programmes and games are conducted only in accordance with law. While so, without any rhyme or reason the respondents are interfering in the day to day affairs of the club. Hence this writ petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the police authorities cannot unnecessarily interfere in the business of the recreation club lawfully conducted by the petitioner. Stating so, he relied on a decision of this Court in W.P.No.25420 of 2016 dated 21.07.2016.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents produced the counter affidavit of the third respondent, in which in paragraph-3 the contention of the petitioner that the respondents are interfering in the day to day affairs of the club, is denied. Further, it is stated that the respondents will not interfere in the activities of the club, so long as the club is functioning within the framework of law.
5. Recording the above statements made in the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the third respondent, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
