1. Sri Arvind Srivastava, learned counsel for petitioners, states that he has no instructions in the matter. No other counsel has appeared on behalf of petitioners though the case is called in revise. Learned Standing Counsel is present for respondents.
2. By means of the present writ petition, petitioners have sought following reliefs:
"i. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned advertisement dated 29.5.2005 published in the newspaper namely Dainik Jagaran (Annexure No.14 to the writ petition).
ii. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus restraining the respondents from interfering in the possession of the petitioners over plot in dispute having an area of .12 decimal located at Mohanpur Manik Puccabagh, district Etawah.
iii. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Senior Superintendent of Police, Etawah to maintain the law and order and not to permit the removal of the goods of the petitioners from the plot in dispute."
3. We ourselves have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioners are not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or that petitioners have lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
