The writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the advertisement dated 14.08.2001 and the corrigendum notification dated 22.08.2001, by means of which, applications have been invited for appointment on the posts of Assistant Teachers by the State Council for Education, Research a and Training, U.P., and other ancillary reliefs.
Smt. Archana Singh, Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents points out that since in terms of the advertisement the last date fixed for filling up of application form was initially 16th September, 2001 and in terms of the the corrigendum notice, the same was extended upto 30.09.2001 the selection process has been completed long back and this writ petition has become infructuous.
Considering the facts of the case in particular that the matter pertains to the selections of the year 2001, and the selection process has already been completed long back, the writ petition appears to have been rendered infructuous by lapse of time, and is accordingly dismissed.
