Heard Shri Vikas Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for the State - respondents.
The only prayer made by the petitioner in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to consider and decide the complaint made against the Gram Pradhan alleging embezzlement and misappropriation of the Government funds. It is stated that the petitioner has made the aforesaid complaint supported with an affidavit on 02.04.2019, but till date, no action has been taken against the Gram Pradhan. It is further stated that a direction may be issued to the respondent no. 2 to decide the complaint within a stipulated period of time.
To the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned standing counsel has no objection.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2 to decide the petitioner's complaint dated 02.04.2019, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order in his Office, if there is no legal impediment.
It is made clear that the Court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merits and the authority concerned is free to pass an independent order, in accordance with law.
