The petitioner claims himself to be constable and working with U.P.Police. By means of this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for a direction to the authorities to assign him lighter duty due to medical condition. The petitioner is a member of armed forces. Whether lighter duty can be assigned to such constable or not is to be looked into by the competent authority which in the present case is said to be respondent no.3.
The writ petition is disposed of with the observations that respondent no.3 may consider the claim of the petitioner and pass appropriate order in accordance with law and if required a Medical Board be constituted to look into the medical condition of the petitioner and thereafter appropriate orders be passed in this regard. The said decision shall be taken as far as possible within a period of four months from the date of filing of a certified copy of this order.
