Heard counsel for the petitioner and Standing Counsel for State of UP.
The present writ petition has been filed for mandamus directing respondent no. 2 to decide the Application No. 3334 dated 19.12.2018, filed by the petitioner for issuing fire arm license.
The counsel for the petitioner submits that the application for grant of Arm License is pending since 19.12.2018 and same may be decided by respondent authority within stipulated time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.
The learned Standing Counsel has no objection to aforesaid submission.
Without entering into the controversy involved in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent-2 to decide Application No. 3334 dated 19.12.2018 (Annexure No.1 to the writ petition), expeditiously, preferably within a period of four months from the date of producing a certified copy of this order before the concerned authority, in accordance with law provided there is no other legal impediment.
It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merit.
