JUDGMENT / ORDER

HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C.V.NAGARJUNA REDDY WRIT PETITION No.1317 of 2014 Date:22.01.2014 Between:
Yerupula Maruthi, S/o Hanumanthu and 23 others.
. Petitioners And:
The Government of A.P., reptd., by its Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, Hyderabad and three others.
. Respondents Counsel for the Petitioners: Sri P.Prabhakar Reddy Counsel for the Respondents: AGP for Revenue The Court made the following:
ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed with the grievance that the respondents have not been considering the petitioners’ representation for grant of assignment of lands in their occupation.
A perusal of the record shows that the last of the representations stated to have been made by the petitioners was on 23.06.2013. More than 4 ½ years passed-by since then and the petitioners have not approached the respondents during this period for granting assignment.
In the light of these facts, I am not inclined to entertain this Writ Petition for adjudication on merits at this stage. However, the petitioners are permitted to approach respondent Nos.2 to 4 with a comprehensive representation for grant of assignment. If the petitioners feel aggrieved by the decision taken by respondent Nos.2 to 4 on such representation, they shall be free to avail appropriate remedy in accordance with law.
Subject to the liberty given to the petitioners as above, the Writ Petition is dismissed.
As a sequel to dismissal of the Writ Petition, W.P.M.P.No.1543 of 2014 is dismissed as infructuous.
