Petitioners three in number are the Ex-servicemen. Considering their request, land to an extent of Ac.5.00 each in Sy.No.26/P of Mudasarlova village was assigned to them in the year 1988. Petitioners intended to dispose of the said land and they have applied to the District Collector for grant of No Objection Certificate on 07.03.2014. Grievance of the petitioners necessitating the institution of this writ petition is that so far no orders are passed by the District Collector and on account of inordinate delay grave prejudice would be caused to them.
2. Having regard to the submissions made, this writ petition is disposed of, without expressing any opinion on merits, directing the District Collector, Visakhapatnam District (2nd respondent) to pass appropriate orders on the representation submitted by the petitioners on 07.03.2014 regarding their request for grant of No Objection Certificate for alienation of the land allotted to them as Ex-servicemen within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this writ petition shall stand dismissed.
