Petitioner had applied for appointment to the post of Constable in U.P. Police pursuant to recruitment exercise initiated in the year 2015.
Petitioner contends that in the online application form petitioner has incorrectly filled details of his intermediate result, and therefore, he has moved an application before the authority competent for permitting him to correct the same. Since no orders have been passed upon petitioner's application, as such he is before this Court.
Petition is opposed by learned Standing Counsel.
Attention of the Court has been invited to clause 6.4 of the advertisement, which specifically provides that details furnished in the online application cannot be permitted to be altered subsequently. Even otherwise, recruitment exercise itself has been concluded with declaration of final result in May, 2018.
In such circumstances, no relief can be granted to the petitioner. Writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
