Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for State-respondents.
Present petition has been filed seeking following relief:-
"i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent No. 2 to consider and decide the Fire Arm Licence application dated 29.06.2021 under section 13 of the Arms Act, 1959 within the stipulated time."
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that against the application of petitioner dated 29.06.2021 for grant of arms licence is pending before respondent No. 2, but till date no decision has been taken. Lastly, it is submitted that a direction may be issued to respondent No. 2 to decide the application of the petitioner within a stipulated time for which learned standing counsel has no objection.
In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, with the consent of parties, without adverting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No. 2 to decide the application of the petitioner dated 29.06.2021 in accordance with law maximum within period of six weeks from the date of submission of computer generated copy of this order after verifying the same from Official Website of Allahabad High Court.
