Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent.
A short prayer made by the petitioner is that his representations dated 09.04.2014 and 09.07.2014 for notional promotion with effect from November 2009 from the feeder category of Deputy Executive Engineer to that of Executive Engineer be considered.
After hearing the learned counsel on either side, without going into the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondent to consider the representations dated 09.04.2014 and 09.07.2014 made by the petitioner for notional promotion with effect from November 2009 from the feeder category of Deputy Executive Engineer to that of Executive Engineer, if he is otherwise eligible, in accordance with law and Rules in force, within a period of 6 (six) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
