For Petitioner : Mr.J.Kumaran For Respondent : Mr.C.Emalias, APP ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file the final report in Crime No.1240 of 2014 pending on his file within the time frame as may be fixed by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he has lodged a complaint against his wife and others on 18.04.2014 and the same was registered as FIR in Crime No.1240 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police. Finding no action on the same, he has approached this Court by filing Crl.OP.No.16487 of 2015, which was, by order dated 03.07.2015, disposed of with a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and file final report as expeditiously as possible. Even thereafter, final report was not filed. Hence, this petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.
4. The inaction of the respondent cannot be countenanced. Hence, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.1240 of 2014 pending on his file and file a final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
