JUDGMENT / ORDER

ORDER:
Heard.
2. By the present writ petition, petitioners complain inaction on the part of respondent No.2 in registering the crime on the basis of the complaint filed by the petitioners on 17.04.2014.
3. When this writ petition came up before this court on 23.06.2014, this court passed the following order:
“Since the Station House Officer, I Town Police Station, Nandyal was declined to receive the complaint of the petitioners, they appear to have forwarded the same to the Superintendent of Police, Kurnool on 17.04.2014 by way of registered post, as is evident from the postal receipt and so far, no action has been taken thereon.
Therefore, the 2nd respondent, Superintendent of Police, Kurnool is directed to ensure that the complaint forwarded by the petitioners on 17.04.2014 in terms of Sub-section (3) of Section 154 of the Code of Criminal Procedure be given effect to , by registering it as crime and taking up the same for investigation. For the purpose of reporting the investigation carried out thereinto, post the writ petition after four weeks in motion list.”
4. Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, states that on the basis of the complaint of the petitioners Crime No.117 of 2014 on the file of Nandyal I Town Police station, has been registered as per the orders of the S.P. in the memo dated 19.07.2014 and the investigation of this case is handed over to SDPO, Allagadda. Copy of the F.I.R. is also enclosed.
5. In view of that, since the primary grievance of the petitioners stands redressed, no further orders are necessary except directing the concerned investigating officer to complete the investigation expeditiously.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
