JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V. SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.19571 of 2006 Between:
Y. Chandrasekhara Rao PETITIONER AND
1. Mandal Revenue Officer, Palasa Srikakulam District, and others.
RESPONDENTS ORDER:
This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief.
“….to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, particularly one in the nature of Mandamus, declaring the inaction of the Respondent in not renewing and not releasing my freedom fighters pension from April 1991 onwards till date as illegal, arbitrary, unreasonable, contrary to the provisions of Swatantra Sainik Samman Pension Scheme, 1980 and also violative of Articles 14, 21 and 300-A of the Constitution of India and issue a consequential direction to the respondent herein to renew and release petitioner’s freedom fighters pension from April 1991 onwards forthwith…..”
2. Heard Sri M. Rajamalla Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Revenue for respondents 1 to 3 and Sri P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, learned Assistant Solicitor General, for Union of India for respondents 4 and 5.
3. This Court issued Rule Nisi on 22.09.2006. On 21.07.2010 this Court passed interim order in W.P.M.P.No.24687 of 2006, which reads as under.
“Heard counsel appearing for the parties.
It appears, a detailed report has been submitted by the District Collector, Srikakulam to the Joint Secretary, Government of A.P., Hyderabad on 15.12.1996. Thereafter, no information is forthcoming from the State Government as to whether the pension papers of the petitioner have been forwarded along with the report of the District Collector, Srikakulam.
In that view of the matter, there shall be interim direction to the 3rd respondent to forward the report submitted by the District Collector to the Ministry of Home affairs, Freedom Fighters Division-4th respondent for passing further orders with regard to release of Freedom Fighters Pension to the petitioner.”
4. Even though this court passed the interim order as long back as on 21.07.2010, no further information is forthcoming. Therefore this Court deems it appropriate to make the said interim order as final order in this writ petition.

For the aforesaid reasons, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the 3rd respondent-Government to forward the report submitted by the District Collector, Srikakulam District to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Freedom Fighters Division-4th respondent herein, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, for taking appropriate action with regard to release of freedom fighters pension in favour of the petitioner. No order as to costs. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
