On 19.03.2014, when the matter was called, there was no appearance on behalf of the petitioners herein, as such, this Court directed the writ petition to be posted under the caption ‘for orders’ after a week. On 26.03.2014 also when the matter was called, there was no appearance on behalf of the petitioners, as such, this Court directed the writ petition to be posted under the caption ‘for orders’ and on 02.04.2014 once again this Court directed the matter to be listed after ten days at the request of the counsel for the petitioners.
Today, when the matter was called in the pre-lunch session, none appeared for the writ petitioners, as such, this Court passed over the matter and even in the post-lunch session now when the matter is called there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners herein.
In the circumstances, this Court has no other option except to dismiss the writ petition for non-prosecution. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
