JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 30.08.2017, wherein and whereby, he sought for taking appropriate measure to safeguard the property of the temple by name, Arulmigu Muthukumaraswami Thirukoil, Chennai and ensure the basic needs of the devotees of the said temple.
2.Heard both sides.
3.The grievance of the petitioner is that surroundings of the said temple is not properly maintained. It is seen that a representation sent to the Chief Minister Cell has also been looked into and the District Collector, Chennai, viz., the third respondent herein was directed to conduct an inspection and reply to the petitioner. It is stated that till this date, the third respondent has not taken any action.
4.Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of only by directing the third respondent to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate steps in accordance with law, without loss of further time, as expeditiously as possible. No costs.
