W.P.No.3829 Of 2017 vs The Commissioner Of Police

Madras High Court|16 February, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Huluvadi G.Ramesh,J.) Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondent.
2. Alleging non functioning of traffic signal lights in various areas of the Chennai City, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 4.2.2017 to the respondent. However, till date there was no reply or response from the respondent. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed for the relief stated supra.
3. The petitioner sent the representation to the respondent only on 4.2.2017 and within a fortnight he has filed the present writ petition alleging non consideration of the same. In our considered opinion, the writ petition is pre-mature. That apart, the petition does not specify the exact locations at which the traffic signals are not functioning. It is merely stated that at various locations in the city traffic signals are not functioning. The petition is vague and bereft of details.
For the foregoing reasons, the petition is dismissed. No costs.
