JUDGMENT / ORDER

The relief sought for in these writ petitions are for a direction to direct the respondent to give Earned Leave to the petitioners at the rate of 2 = days for each completed calendar month of service as per the Service Rules of the Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioners made a submission that the writ petitioners are working in the respondent State Owned Company and as per Rule 10.4 of the Service Rules of the Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited the writ petitioners are eligible to get the Earned Leave at the rate of 2 = days for each completed calendar month of service .
3.This apart, the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioners made a representation that the rights ensured under the Rules are not extended despite the fact that the representations were submitted to the respondents explaining the rules position and other connected records.
4.Thus, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the representations submitted by the petitioners as well as the union on 26.05.2014 and 01.09.2014 respectively and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
