JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 14.12.2016 in accordance with law.
3.The petitioner seeks for modification in the patta issued by the respondent, therefore, the remedy open to the petitioner is to file an appeal before the concerned jurisdictional Revenue Divisional Officer.
4.Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner may be given liberty to file an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer and in such an event, the Revenue Divisional Officer may be directed to consider the petitioner's appeal in accordance with law.
5.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, I give liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order passed by the respondent before the concerned jurisdictional Revenue Divisional Officer within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the appeal to be filed by the petitioner, the Revenue Divisional Officer is directed to consider the same and pass orders, after giving notice to all the interested parties within three months from the presentation of the appeal.
6.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
