Certain properties were leased to the petitioner who is the Kozhikode District Sports Council. The petitioner's grievance is against the revision of lease rent for the area leased to the petitioner and revenue recovery proceedings initiated for recovering the same. In respect thereof, the petitioner has filed Ext.P4 representation before the 2nd respondent. The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the same.
I have heard the learned Government Pleader also. I think that it would be more appropriate that the 1st respondent considers the matter in so far as ultimately a decision on this has to be taken by the Government. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with the following directions:
The 2nd respondent shall forward Ext.P4 to the 1st respondent within two weeks from the date W.P.(C)No.11053 of 2011 -2- of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Thereupon the 1st respondent shall consider the matter and pass appropriate orders thereon, after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within one month from the date of receipt of the papers from the 2nd respondent.
