By means of filing this application, the applicant, Girdharbhai Dahyabhai, who is undergoing sentence of imprisonment for life in Ahmedabad Central Prison, has filed this application to release him on permanent bail on the ground that the condition of his family members has become pitiable because he has been in custody for last six years. Without going into merits of this application, we deem it necessary to fix the hearing of Criminal Appeal No.541 of 1996 on September 28, 2000. As the appeal is fixed for final hearing, no order is passed for prayer of bail. This application stands disposed of accordingly. Rule discharged. Office is directed to notify Criminal Appeal No.541 of 1996 on a separate Board for hearing on September 28, 2000.
