ORDER Sri Maqbool Pasha, learned counsel has filed vakalath for respondent No.2.
2. The petitioner-accused and the second respondent-complainant, along with their respective counsels are present before the court. The second respondent-complainant has filed an affidavit stating that the petitioner and himself have compromised the matter.
3. Heard the petitioner and the second respondent and their counsels in this regard. The petitioner and the second respondent submits that they are close friends.
4. In view of the friendship between the parties and as there is no legal impediment to quash the proceedings as the offences alleged are not so serious in nature, I am of the opinion that no purpose would be served in proceeding with the matter.
5. Under the above said circumstances, continuation of the investigation in Crime No.220/2016 would become abuse of process of law.
Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Affidavit filed by the second respondent is hereby accepted. Consequently, all further proceedings in Crime No.220/2016 registered by the Mico Layout Police Station, pending on the file of the VI Addl. CMM, Bengaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 324 and 504 of IPC are hereby quashed.
