JUDGMENT / ORDER

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by R.Subbiah, J.) This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to condone the delay of 510 days in filing the appeal against the judgment and decree dated 03.11.2003 made in O.P.No.1522 of 1997 on the file of the I Additional Family Court, Chennai.
2.Today, when the matter is taken up, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that since the matter pertains to the year 2005, she made an attempt to contact her client to find out as to whether anything survives in this matter, but her client's whereabouts are not known.
3.Further, from the perusal of the affidavit filed in support of this petition, We find that no valid reason was given by the petitioner for the inordinate delay of 510 days in filing the appeal. Hence, this delay condonation petition is liable to be dismissed.
5.Accordingly, the Civil Miscellaneous Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the appeal is rejected. No costs.
