Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.K.Ramanujam C.Kannan, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Vasudevanallur Police Station, Tirunelveli District, is present. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that a regular case in Crime No.130 of 2017 has been registered against the petitioner under Sections 447, 427, 294(b), 506(i) IPC and Section 3 of TNPPDL Act.
2. In the light of the law laid down by this Court in Dorand v. The Superintendent of Police, Nagercoil [2016(2) CTC 286], the prayer of the petitioner cannot be granted. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedies in the manner known to law.
