2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider his representation dated 03.08.2017 seeking for exemption of the petitioner institution from payment of tax as its is a government aided institution.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner's has given his representation as early as on 03.08.2017, the first respondent has not passed any order so far.
4. Mr. R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that the first respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.08.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.08.2017 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
