JUDGMENT / ORDER

The prayer in the Writ Petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the 5th respondent in granting ''No Objection Certificate'' to the 6th respondent for undertaking Ph.D. Programme at National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli for the academic year 2014-15 as illegal and forbearing the 2nd respondent from granting permission to the 6th respondent to undertake the Ph.D. Programme during the academic year 2014-15 without considering the petitioner's application dated 17.02.2014.
2. When the matter is called, it is stated by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that the 6th respondent has already completed his Ph.D. Programme. Therefore, nothing survives in the Writ Petition.
3. Recording the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
