JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner seeks for Educational Loan for his daughter from the respondent Bank. He submitted the application manually and also through on-line seeking for disbursement of such educational loan. The present writ petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent Bank to grant the educational loan to a sum of Rs.4,65,000/- to the petitioner, to pursue his daughter's studies in Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
2. After notice, the matter is taken up today for further hearing. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent Bank, based on instructions, submitted that though the petitioner has filed the application through on-line, the relevant documents were submitted only on 21.07.2017 and hence his application along with the documents were sent to the Zonal Office for scrutiny. Therefore, he submitted that appropriate orders will be passed within a short time.
3. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances and considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondent Bank, this writ petition is disposed of, by directing the respondent Bank to consider the application of the petitioner for educational loan and pass appropriate orders on the same, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
