JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of Certiorari calling for the records pertaining to the impugned notice dated 17.03.2017 and its consequential impugned order in ROC.No.6207/RK, dated 12.06.2017 and its consequential order in ROC.No.6207/RK, dated 27.06.2017 on the file of the second respondent in respect of the Chamber No.90 situated in Law Chambers, Law Chambers building, Madurai District Court, Madurai and quash the same as illegal.
2. Mr.G.Muthukannan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal.
3. The case of the petitioner is that he is a practising Advocate before the Principal District Court, Madurai, from 1974 and he is a joint allottee of Chamber No.90 in the Law Chambers buildings, District Court, Madurai. The main allottee and other co-allottees failed to pay the rent to the first respondent and the total arrears of rent comes to Rs.1,79,088/- (Rupees One Lakh Seventy Nine Thousand and Eighty Eight only). Hence, the impugned eviction notice came to be issued. Challenging the same, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief as stated supra, the learned Counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, fairly submits that the petitioner is inclined to pay the entire arrears within one month. The said submission of the learned Counsel for the petitioner is placed on record.
5. Considering the same, the second respondent is directed to grant a month's time to the petitioner to pay the entire arrears and accordingly, the petitioner is directed to pay the entire arrears within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such time, status quo as on today be maintained.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs. Consequently, the connected writ miscellaneous petitions are closed.
