JUDGMENT / ORDER

By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner has come before this Court seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider his representation dated 16.06.2014 and pass appropriate orders.
3.The petitioner while serving as Natchiapuram Firka Revenue Inspector, in Thirupattur Taluk, met with an accident. Therefore, he was on leave on medical grounds for a period of sixty one days. He has also sought for exemption vide representation dated 16.06.2014 from completion of two years of service in the cadre of Assistant as per Annexure ? III (II) of Rule 7 (a) of the Revenue Subordinate Service Rules. Considering the said representation, the District Collector, Sivagangai has sent a proposal to the Government in Letter No.A1/123/2015 dated 12.07.2016. Thereupon, the Government has also taken action and called for remarks from the Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chennai, vide Government letter dated No.30621/Ser.3(2)2016-1 dated 08.03.2017, but, the same is still pending. Therefore, he sought for a direction to consider the same as expeditiously as possible.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents sought eight weeks time to consider the petitioner's representation.
5.This Court considering the facts and circumstances of the case, direct the first respondent to consider the pending proposal within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
