JUDGMENT / ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner, who was working as Junior Assistant in the office of the Child Welfare Program, Thirunavalur, Villupuram District, was initially placed under suspension in contemplation of the disciplinary proceedings and thereafter, the disciplinary proceedings culminated into removal from service vide proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 30.10.2015. The petitioner, challenging the legality of the said order, filed an appeal before the 1st respondent on 04.12.2015 and since the said appeal having not been given disposal, he came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Heard the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Senthilvel, learned Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that despite the appeal filed by the petitioner was taken on file by the 1st respondent, no final order has been passed so far. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
5. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal memorandum of the petitioner dated 04.12.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
