JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition is filed by a retired employee of the Kerala Water Authority seeking payment of arrears, in the light of the pay revision with effect from 01.07.2009. 2. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Water Authority, on instructions, has submitted that though the claim of the petitioner cannot be denied, in view of the financial constraints faced by the respondent Water Authority, it could not pay the arrears expeditiously. He has further submitted that within a period of six weeks the entire arrears of the petitioner will be cleared.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that, as could be seen from Exhibit P7, all the amounts due to W.P.(C ) No. 31387/14 2 the petitioner have been quantified and stated clearly. The respondent Water Authority has not disputed the said amounts.
In the facts and circumstances, having regard to the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Water Authority, this Court disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the third respondent to pay the revised pension arrears to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
