Madras High Court|15 June, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner's case is that he had married the detenue on 05.06.2017 and it was registered before the Sub Registrar, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District on 09.06.2017. Armed with the marriage certificate, the petitioner seeks production of the detenue before this Court.
2.We find that the detenue is aged about 18 years. Admittedly, the petitioner is working abroad and said to have come to India only recently. There appears to be rift between the family members of the petitioner and the detenue's family members. Therefore, We direct the respondent police to register a case and investigate the same and take all steps to produce the detenue before the jurisdictional Judicial Magistrate. The above direction shall be complied with, within a period of four weeks.
4.With the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of.
To
1.The Superintendent of Police, Ramanathapuram District, Ramanathapuram.
2.The Inspector of Police, Paramakudi Town Police Station, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District.
3.The Additional Public Prosecutor, Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai..
