The petitioners have approached this Court seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to accept the fee for application for grant of variation of autorikshaw permits and grant the same. They are aggrieved by the general decision of the RTA not to issue any further permits to autorickshaws. This Court has in W.P.(C). 3469/2014 and connected cases, held that such general orders cannot be passed by the RTA and each application has to be considered individually and a reasoned order passed under Section 80(2) of The Kerala Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. In such circumstances, the applications filed by the petitioners, if received in original in the office of the 2nd respondent, shall be accepted by the 2nd respondent and the same shall be considered within a period of two WP(C).28084/14 2 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Writ petition disposed of.
