The petitioner seeks a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent authorities to permit him to appear in the practical examination for recruitment to the post of Regional Inspector (Technical) pursuant to the U.P. Public Service Commission Regional Inspector (Technical)-2014 which was held between 25.4.2018 to 28.4.2018.
Reference is made to the interim order dated 24.4.2018 granted by this Court in Writ-A No. 10479 of 2018 (Somvenra Pratap Narain Singh vs. State of U.P. and others).
Upon instructions, Sri Avaneesh Tripathi, learned counsel for the respondent/Commission informs that the practical examinations for recruitment to the post of Regional Inspector (Technical), 2014 are over and the last examination was held on 29.4.2018 under the directions of this Court in the case of the writ petitioner who had approached this Court prior to the conclusion of the practical examination.
The petitioner herein has filed this writ petition on 26.4.2018, which has come up today. No request has been made by the counsel for the petitioner for taking up the matter on 27.4.2018 before the practical examinations are over.
In view of the said fact, this Court does not find any justification to issue any direction to the Commission to hold practical examination for the petitioner as he did not approach this Court within time.
On account of the fact noted above, the relief being sought in the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous.
