Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent No. 1 states that subject to verification of all facts and contentions on merits being left open, the claim of the petitioner for being accorded the benefit of the provisions of the 1971 Act shall be duly attended to and disposed of by the said respondent in accordance with law bearing in mind the decision of this Court in Writ-A No. 38992 of 2017 with expedition and preferably within a period of three months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
Accordingly, this petition shall stand disposed of in light of the statement noted above.
