Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. Shambhvi Tiwari, Advocate holding brief of Sri Rohit Pandey, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents-University.
The petitioner claims that he was engaged on contract basis as Technical Assistant in the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur in 2017. His services were extended from time to time but this time in the year 2019 without assigning any reason recommendation has not been sent for extending his services. Against non-extension of service, the petitioner has made a representation to the Registrar of the University, who is stated to be the competent authority but the same has not been decided so far.
As such, it would suffice to direct the Registrar- respondent no.2 to consider the claim of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, as far as possible, within a period of one month from the date a certified copy of this order is presented before the authority concerned.
With the aforesaid observation/direction, the writ petition stands finally disposed of.
