Heard learned counsel for the applicant and the learned standing counsel for the State-respondent.
This contempt application has been filed alleging that the opposite party has wilfully disobeyed the order of the writ court dated 4.2.2011 passed in Writ-A No.6758 of 2011 (Vrindavan Verma v. State of U.P. and others).
By the aforesaid order, the writ Court directed that if the departmental appeals are still pending, the same shall be decided as expeditiously as possible, preferably within two months from the date of presentation of the order before the appellate authority, in accordance with law.
An affidavit of compliance dated 27.11.2019 of Sri Pawan Kumar, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, U.P., Lucknow has been filed today, which is taken on record.
Perusal of the affidavit shows that the appeals have been decided.Thus, the order of the writ court has been complied with.
In view of the aforesaid, I do not find any good reason to proceed further with this contempt application. Consequently, the contempt application is dismissed.
