We have heard Mr.A.S.Supehia, learned counsel appearing for the appellant and Mr.Rakesh Patel, learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for respondent nos.1 and 2, Ms.Sejal Mandavia, learned counsel appearing for respondent no.3 and Mr.Chintan Popat, learned counsel appearing for respondent no.4.
2. This Letters Patent Appeal has been filed challenging the judgment dated 13.6.2012 passed by the learned Single Judge in Special Civil Application No.10288 of 2000. The learned counsel for the appellant has urged that the appellant was wrongly deprived from appearing in the interview by the respondents and if they would have called the appellant, then the appellant would have been selected as Assistant Teacher in SEBC category. The learned Single Judge found that the appellant has wrongly been deprived by the respondents and they have not called the appellant for the interview though the appellant was eligible. But looking to the fact that interview has taken place for the post of Assistant Teacher in the year 2000 and the petition has been decided in the year 2012, the learned Single Judge has awarded compensation of Rs. 10,000/- to be paid by each of the respondent nos.2,3 and 4, we do not find any illegality in the impugned judgment passed by the learned Single Judge. This Appeal is devoid of any merits and is accordingly dismissed. Notice is discharged. As a consequence, Civil Application does not survive.
