By means of the present petition the petitioner is seeking for quashing of the first information report dated 19.05.2021 in Case Crime No.71 of 2021 under Sections 457 & 380 IPC, Police Station Chhatta, District Agra.
To seek quashing of the first information report, it is argued by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the first information report had been lodged against unknown persons and the name of the petitioner had come up during the course of investigation in the statement of the co-accused.
The first information report had been lodged on the allegation of theft. For bringing the investigation to its logical conclusion, as far as possible, the recovery of the stolen articles has to be effected. The interrogation of the accused or his arrest may be needed for making such recovery.
In this view of the matter, we find that any interference at this stage, may impede the speedy investigation.
No good ground as such is made out for quashing of the first information report.
The writ petition is dismissed as such.
