Following orders were passed in the matter on 9.8.2018:-
"It is stated that petitioner has scored higher marks, but in the result declared, his score is shown illegally at 367.1 marks.
Learned standing counsel may obtain instructions in the matter. Put up this matter, in the additional cause list, on 17.08.2018."
Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instructions, copy of which has been furnished to the counsel for the petitioner. It is recorded in para 5 of the instructions that petitioner has got 52.3 marks in the High School, whereas he has scored 158.8 in Intermediate. After calculating his 156 marks in physical efficiency test, petitioner scored 367.1 total marks. This clearly is below the cut off, which is 396 for P.A.C. and 397.6 for civil police.
Since the petitioner has failed to obtain marks above the cut off, he can have no grievance, if he is not selected.
Writ petition, accordingly, is dismissed.
