This petition has been filed for a direction upon the District Inspector of Schools to release salary to the petitioner.
As per the averments made in this petition, the petitioner was appointed in the institution concerned as a Assistant Teacher on 8.8.1990. Petitioner's grievance is that till date, he has not been paid salary by the respondent authority. It is also pointed out that certain other petitions in respect of similar circumstances are pending.
Admittedly, this petition has been filed after more than 25 years of the alleged appointment of the petitioner. In case the petitioner was appointed and salary was denied to him he ought to have approached the appropriate forum within a reasonable time. Filing of this petition in the year 2018 is grossly barred by latches. So far as other petitioners are concerned, those persons appeared to have filed Writ Petition in the year 1998-1999. Petitioner, therefore, cannot claim parity with those persons. Claim of the petitioner is highly barred by latches, and this petition is consigned to records.
