JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to take appropriate steps so as to ensure that his agricultural lands in Sy.Nos.357/3, 358/2 and 358/4 in Karkathakudi Village are not submerged and inundated, in future.
2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. There is no representation for respondents 4 & 5.
3. According to the petitioner, the aforesaid agricultural lands are adjacent to Peruvandal Kanmai and because of some construction activities done by the Peruvandal villagers, the said agricultural lands got submerged every year, when it rains and aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is now inclined to approach the authorities afresh and seeks permission for the same.
5. Such being the case, this writ petition is disposed of, granting liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before the respondents 1 to 3, within a period of two weeks and on such filing, the first respondent is directed to consider the same, on merits and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties, within a period of six weeks thereafter. No costs.
