Heard Sri Vineet Mishra, Advocate holding brief of Malti Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner.
Notices on behalf of opposite parties have been accepted by the office of the learned Chief Standing Counsel.
By means of this writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has appeared in the U.P. Police Recruitment (Constable) Examination-2015-16 and he has reached upto the level of physical examination test but when the final result declared his name did not find place. Therefore, he has preferred a representation dated 01.08.2019 to the Additional Secretary, U.P. Police Recruitment and Promotional Board, Lucknow but no decision has been taken on the said representation.
Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has submitted that the selection in question is for the year 2015-16 and it might have been finalized by now, therefore, no decision can be taken on the representation of the petitioner, which has been preferred by the petitioner at highly belated stage.
However, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the selection in question has yet not been finalized.
Considering the aforesaid rival submissions of learned counsel for both the parties, I hereby direct the Additional Secretary, U.P. Police Recruitment and Promotional Board, Lucknow to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner dated 01.08.2019, which is contained as Annexure No.7 to the writ petition, if the selection in question is still going on and appropriate order be passed, strictly in accordance with law, with expedition, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order and the decision thereof be communicated to the petitioner forthwith.
In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of finally.
