K.T.Sankaran, J. The petitioner is the respondent in R.C.A.No.2 of 2010 on the file of the Rent Control Appellate Authority, Thrissur.

The appeal was filed by the respondent challenging the finding made by the Rent Control Court, Chalakudy in R.C.P.No.5 of 2008 rejecting the contention of the tenant on the question of denial of title. The relief sought for in this O.P.(RC) is to direct the Rent Control Appellate Authority/Additional District Court, Thrissur to dispose of R.C.A.No.2 of 2010 expeditiously.
3. It is stated in paragraphs 5 and 6 of the O.P(RC) thus:
“5. It is submitted that thereafter the appeal was posted before the court on 26.3.2010, 8.4.2010, 2.7.2010. Thereafter, the court was not sitting for long and the appeal remained without posting. The court resumed sitting and the appeal came up on 8.3.2011. Thereafter, the appeal was posted on 8.7.2011,
O.P.(RC) No.60 of 2014 2 20.1.2014, 11.3.2014, 31.3.2014 and now it is posted on 28.6.2014.
6. It is submitted that almost all the posting days, the appeal was adjourned though the counsel for the petitioner was ready for hearing except on 6.9.2012, 27.6.2013, 20.1.2014 and 11.3.2014 on which days the court was not sitting. On 5.9.2013, the appeal was heard and orders received. However, to the dismay of the petitioner, hearing was reopened and now stands posted to 28.6.2013.”
We do not think it is necessary to issue notice to the respondent for the purpose of disposing of this O.P.(RC). We direct the Rent Control Appellate Authority, Thrissur to dispose of R.C.A.No.2 of 2010 as expeditiously as possible, taking into account the fact that the R.C.P was filed in the year 2008 and R.C.A. is of the year 2010. The petitioner shall produce the certified copy of this judgment before the Rent Control Appellate Authority, Thrissur and the petitioner shall serve a true copy of this judgment on the respondent.
