Heard learned counsel for the applicant Sri Puneet Srivastava.
The Application for maintenance is pending since the year 2016. The applicant is wife of opposite party no. 2. There is an element of inherent urgency involved in proceedings under Section 125 Cr.P.C. that are designed to prevent destitution in society where a wife has no means of sustenance and is neglected by the husband.
Looking to the fact that the proceedings of the Case No. 84 of 2016 'Vimlesh Sharma@Vandana and 3 others vs. Ajay Kumar Sharma' under Section 125 Cr.P.C. P.S. Qwarsi, District Aligarh are pending since the year 2016, it is directed that the Principal Judge, Family Court, Aligarh shall take immediate steps to expedite proceedings and conclude the same preferably within a period of six months next in accordance with law, unless there is any stay order of a Court of superior jurisdiction.
This Application stands disposed of with the above orders.
