The instant anticipatory bail application has been filed on behalf of the applicant, Vikas Verma, with a prayer to release him on bail in Case Crime No. 331 of 2020, under Sections- 406, 420, 504, 506 I.P.C., Police Station- Kakod, District- Bulandshahar, during pendency of trial.
The allegations against the applicant show that he is involved in economic offences. The Apex Court in the case of Directorate of Enforcement Vs. Ashok Kumar Jain (1998) 2 SCC 105, has held that in economic offences, the accused is not entitled to anticipatory bail.
The anticipatory bail application is, accordingly, rejected.
