Heard the counsel for the petitioner.
The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for a writ of mandamus directing the Superintendent of Police, Jaunpur, i.e., respondent no. 2 to decide the application dated 26.6.2019 bearing No. 732 of 2019 pending in the court of Superintendent of Police, Jaunpur.
Without entering into the merits of the case, the Superintendent of Police, Jaunpur, i.e., respondent no. 2 is directed to decide the aforesaid application within a period of six months from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him, in case, there is no legal impediment in deciding the aforesaid application.
It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim as raised by the petitioner in the present writ petition.
With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
