Heard Sri Ramesh Chandra Agrahari, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for respondents State. Notice need not to be issued to private respondents, at this stage.
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction upon respondent no. 1 to conclude the proceedings pending under Section 198(4) of the U.P.Z.A. and L.R. Act, expeditiously. The sole prayer is for early disposal of the proceedings.
Learned Standing Counsel does not oppose the limited prayer so made for early disposal of the proceedings.
As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, with the consent of the parties, the matter is being disposed of at this stage without calling for counter affidavit, with a direction upon respondent no. 1 to decide Case No. 22 of 2014, Computerized Case No. D201302300790 (Vijay Singh and others vs. Amarnath and others), if there are no legal impediments and after hearing all the concerned parties, strictly in accordance with law by reasoned and speaking order, expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of copy of this order, downloaded from the official website of Allahabad High Court.
Writ petition stands disposed of.
