Heard Sri Prashant Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned standing counsel. Perused the record.
The present writ petition has been filed for issuance of a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 1- Deputy Director of Consolidation, Varanasi to reconstruct the record of Reference No. 1375, under section 48(3) of the U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act and decide it within some specified period.
On the basis of the instructions received, learned standing counsel informs that record of the aforesaid Reference has been traced out and it is ready for disposal.
In the circumstances, this petition is being finally disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 1- Deputy Director of Consolidation, Varanasi to decide Reference No. 1375, Uma Shankar Vs. State, under section 48(3) of the U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act, in accordance with law expeditiously within a period of six months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
No order as to cost.
